Start slow and low, especially when trying something new, take a small dose and give it plenty of time to take effect (at least 20 minutes) before you take more.

If trying something new, it is better to be with people you know and trust.

Think about what your boundaries are. What are you happy to try and what are definite NOs for you?

Consider how you communicate these to others. Is it in your profile? Do you discuss and agree it before you meet someone? Are you happy to continue to communicate this throughout the meet up or party, even if new people arrive?

Take care of your sexual health, get tested, get play packs, condoms, lube, Prep and find out more about how to play safely.

It can be difficult to recognize what you are using, try and get your drugs from someone that you know and trust or who friends have used before, remember drugs are often cut with different things so you may have a very different reaction each time you use.

Let the people you are with know what you are using and keep a note of it in your phone so that you can let emergency services know if needed.

Try to keep sessions to one night, extended periods of time with no sleeping and eating will negatively affect physical and mental health.

If you are going to a new place with new people share your location with someone you trust and let them know when to check in on you.

If you are injecting (slamming) make sure you have the right needles and make sure you know how and where to inject as safely as possible.

Learn what to do if someone else has an overdose, you may feel that you are good at managing your use but others may overdose around you and you will want to be prepared to handle the situation.

Always measure your own drugs. Especially G and try to make sure that you know where your drink is and that you can see it at all times.
